One little boy who loves his mamma's piggies. Angel and Blueberry

Bebe & Greta were great friends!

Chester and FeeBee, CheBee, the Brangelina of piggies.
stories of pigs and their people
I'm not sure why I added the -a at the end of her name, but I'm pretty sure it's because I wasn't sure if she should be a Coco like Coco Chanel or a Cocoa like chocolate, because she's the color of the most yummy decadent chocolate. Either way, she found her home with a little girl who shared my fondness for her. I was elated when she told her mommy "I want coco-a!" I always thought Coco-a looked a little more like a guinea pig than a piggy pig but hey, it works for her.
FeeBee is still hanging out at our place with Bob. Right now she is sitting atop the printer next to me as I type (I'm waiting to get my macbook so I can sit in front of the tele with a cup of Joe...) She is very much a "lady" in every way. From the tips of her very lady like eyelashes to the tips of her teeny tiny cork feet. She is really more honey colored than this picture gives her credit for, but she liked this photo because she thought it accentuated her "curves".
on July 7. She was one of the first pigs everyone picked up, probably because she was so cute and sweet (alas the name "Angel"). She is a pretty pig who is best for very small coin and paper money. Quarters won't fit through her little piggy nose, that's just the way she was made.
Alas, she was gone by the end of the day. Greta is a sweet, plump little piggy, with a stubby little nose, chubby cheeks and a very unique gourd stem tail! She doesn't have a leather tail like the other piggies. Greta's special trade marks are her special tail and her cross eyes. She is such a cute piggy, I'm sure the person that bought her doesn't "regreta" it a bit.
hey want to do. But it works for Meredith. Meredith was hand delivered by me to my Aunt & (Fairy) Godmother Sally (Brighton's Nana Sally) to take to work. She has a scratch along her back that she got in a "farming" accident, which I think makes her unique, but others didn't see it that way. So Meredith will be a perfect piggy to hold "jinglies" for this or that or for when Nana Sally get's the whim to buy a Iced Venti Blueberry White Tea Lemonade...Got all that?
Bebe has to be my favorite. Don't get me wrong, I love ALL my piggies very much, but Bebe is just so loveable. She has big BIG eyes to match her BIG BIG cork nose that just stare right into your softened heart. Bebe went home with a very good family friend, Sally. Sally took on the task of throwing me a baby shower when Brighton was just a wee pod in my belly. (Well, at that time he was pretty big...) I promised her a pig and it only took me two years and a couple months to make due...but I did finally, with Bebe. And now Bebe sits atop their fireplace mantle, where with her big eyes, she can keep a pig's eye view on the goingsons. Who knows if she'll ever have "jinglies" but she sure will be happy.

Sweet Chester! One of my very favorites. Chester was the first to go home at the market. A nice lady immediately fell in love with his big silly eyes and his soft leather ears. She said "I must have this pig!" And so I said "OK! He's YOURS!" It was love at first sight.
s nose that very closely resembles my fingerprint in black. Hmmm...He was born in Iowa to a friend, Dolores R. His shape is very unique to her gourds. She didn't intend to have piggy shaped gourds, but it just so worked out that way. He became spot on July 1, 2007. Spot was the very lucky pig to get to go home with a little boy who found him at the farmer's market in Cedar Rapids. I believe he was about Brighton's age, and so I know he will be put to the test! But at least his belly will have lots of room for "jinglies" for some time to come.
She was the only one of her "litter" to actually become blue, which makes her extra special. She is also the only piggy with blue eyes. Blueberry very much wanted to go to a home with children who would love her and fill her up with lots of "jinglies." She got her wish on July 7 when two boys and their father came to the Farmer's Market in Downtown Cedar Rapids and picked her out over many of her brothers and sisters. She is now on her way to her new home in Tokyo, Japan. Though I'm sure Blueberry will pick up the language and customs very quickly, her big blue eyes will surely get her places as well.
My Simply Silly pigs were born right around the same time my son was. The idea came to me when I was pregnant with my son. I had a big kettle gourd hanging around that I hadn't done anything with for probably two years (we gourders are famous for buying a gourd that we like then letting it sit until it tells us what it wants to be.)
