Pat

Pat is Freckles' big brother and best friend. Pat is particularly fond of St. Patricks day and green eggs and ham (he ate all of them today!) Pat likes to bowl with his brother Freckles, jump up and down on his trampoline, play scrabble, watch sponge bob, and he loves popcorn. He may be green but he's certainly not a jealous pig. He's very sweet and quiet and occasionally plays the acoustic guitar.

Jumpin' Jax

Jumpin Jax was sold to JumpingJackDesigns !! Thanks JumpingJackDesigns! I know he will love his new home :)

Jumpin' Jax is a sweet little piggy. And he has a lot of fun too. Jax is a one of a kind. Not too many pigs are born blue ya know. He's only had two other brothers and one sister (all older) who are shades of blue, but none so handsome as he. Jax told me the other day that it was his turn to go on Etsy and find his family. I said "ok Jax, if that's what you want, we can do that." He replied "I thought I heard some jinglies on the ground somewhere and so I'd like to help take care of them."

What can you say to that?

Jax's favorite things include jumping in leaf piles, swinging on tire swings, and going REALLY high and REALLY fast in circles and making himself dizzy, hiding in his tree house where he made a sign that says "no chickens allowed!" He especially loves mowing the lawn on the riding lawnmower, mostly because when he's done, he likes to run up to his brother freckles and smile his big piggy smile with chunks of dirt and grass in his teeth and watch Freckles squeal with laughter. When Jax isn't playing in his tree house or swinging on his tire swing, he daydreams about flying a helicopter. Jax loves the water but he can't swim very well and doesn't like to get wet. He'd much rather wallow in the mud.

Ed

Ed is a great little pig. He is a trainee in the pig brigade, who looks up to his little bigger brothers Blitzen and Donner. Ed has a zest for life and loves candy canes and of all things, peanut butter bon bons. He really likes coins and bills and even if the coins are chocolate, he doesn't mind. So long as they're wrapped and kept cool. HA!

Blitzen

Blitzen has a lot of energy. His energy is best spent counting coins as you drop them in. Just like his brothers Donner and Ed, he doesn't fly unless propelled. But I wouldn't recommend that, most especially on a fully belly. He wanted to be a Christmas present, but it didn't work out. But it worked out for the best because I know there is someone on Etsy who will love and take care of Blitzen.

BLITZEN has been given as a gift for a new little baby boy!! YAY!!

Donner

Donner, Blitzen and Ed love Christmas. They really wanted to be Christmas presents, but it just didn't work out that way. But it's OK because I told all three of them that they would find a very happy home with some wonderful person on Etsy. They'd just have to be patient. Unlike the reindeer, this Donner doesn't fly unless propelled. Which I wouldn't recommend. Donner loves big fat dollar coins and likes the occasional paper bill for well, you know, fiber. Of course each cork is removable so you don't need to break this pig to get at his treasures. Just pop out his nose and give him a good shake.

Calvin

Calvin is very shiney, that's why we called him Calvin (which means "Bald" in Latin).  Calvin too, came with Fillmore and Peanut from North Carolina.  He's the business man of the group.  Should we say, the little piggy who built his house out of Bricks.  

UPDATE!  Calvin has been adopted by my friend Sharon!  He was so SO excited when I put him in the car he could barely contain himself.  But he did, and now he's home with Sharon!  For a while anyway, he's going to be another Christmas present!

Fillmore

Fillmore is a bit of a hippie.  His coloring is due to the help of a two year old which he totally supported.  He said that a kids creativity shouldn't be squelched and so we ended up with all kinds of colors.  Which turned out to be very cool.  Fillmore grew up in North Carolina and traveled far to Iowa.  He made his home here for a while but is ready to move on.  That said, Fillmore is really ready to settle down with a nice family. 

UPDATE!  Fillmore was adopted by a nice family in Illinois!  He's a Christmas present, which makes him very happy.

Halloween - Batty Little Piggy

Batty Little Piggy is a one of a kind piggy.  He's got little batty ears and a crazy halloween smile.  All jagged and rough and even smeary is some spots.  He will not be duplicated.  

Batty is a little funny because he was bitten by a bat when he was just a piglet.  On the vine.  Apparently bats really like gourds!  So batty is the result.  But his mommy and daddy still loved him very much and it didn't take long to find him a new home in Texas with Kat!  Yep, she adopted Claire too! 

I'm sure Batty will be hanging around more of the year than just Halloween.  He's a real charmer!  He's a great piggy to hide all of your halloween candy in!

UPDATE!  Batty little piggy was purchased by Kat at Cottontail !  He helped hand out candy and keep the atmostphere light with his silly grin.  Thanks Kat!  Batty makes his new home with Clara in Texas.

Rupert

Last but not least is Rupert. He is a big red piggy with a big red heart. Rupert was the protector of all his brothers and sisters in his litter, especially Paolo. He is waiting for a happy home where some little boy or girl may need some protection from the boogie monster. He stands guard without abandon. If your little girl or boy is afraid of the dark, Rupert is the answer. He will stand guard and be the perfect watch pig. Rupert was "born" here in Iowa to Dolores before he came to me.

Rupert has been adopted by my friend Star.  He's going to a happy home to protect a new babykins!

Paolo the Palo Pig

Paolo was born near that Duane Arnold Energy plant. He has two noses, three eyes, and two tails. He was born without legs, but we're waiting for the prosthetic corks.

Paolo isn't up for adoption but we'll keep his blog entry updated. He has "special needs" and so we decided that he is so sweet and silly that we'd just keep him around here. We really love Paolo. The plan is for Paolo to go to work with Andrew, my husband, where he will get lots of jinglies and lots of love from his co-workers.

Rodney, the Iowa State Fair Pig

Anyone who knows anything about the iowa State Fair knows that everything comes on a stick, and pigs rule the...well...pen. One of the top attractions is the "Big Boar" contest. The Iowa State Fair is also named one of the 1000 places to visit before you die in the book, "1000 places to visit before you die..." Clever. Anyway, Rodney had a most unfortunate accident on the way to the fair, so here he is. Yes, it's slightly disturbing, but only until you get to know Rodney. He is very sweet, and he will charm the pants right off of you. Besides, Rodney is one of a kind. There'll never be another Iowa State Fair pig quite like him. Summer

Summer is the wallflower of the bunch. She is a little bit bohemie, a little bit flower child, a little bit geek, a little bit wallflower. But she is very pretty. She's multicolored. Various shades of orange, blue, purple, even copper grace her shell. She has a danish cord tail and leather ears. Her feet are made of wooden beads. It makes her taller.

Summer was born here in Iowa to Amy (near Des Moines) before she made it here to my house.

Summer was adopted by a nice family who loves our piggies and our gourds in general.  I'm so excited that she has a happy home!!

Razz-berry

Razz is such a pretty pig! She's super popular with little girls. You could say that she's the Brittany Spears (with underwear and pre-breakdown) of pigs. She's very pretty, a lot of fun, and she brightens up any room she enters. Razz was born here in Iowa to Dolores before she came to me.

Sally

Sally is sure a handsome girl! She was the second biggest out of this litter, but she's still feminine as can be. She's a dark violet color, with pretty purple eyes and soft brown ears. She has lots of room for jinglies in her belly. jsut like her brothers and sisters, she has a real cork nose and real cork feet. No coins will fit through her foot holes, but you can remove coins through her nose. Sally was born here in Iowa to Dolores, before she came to stay with us.

Sally was adopted by the same family who adopted "Summer."  They are officially my best customers :)

Penny

Penny is the color of a brand new chiney-I mean shiney-penny. She has big eyes that are slightly slanted, like almonds. I guess. At any rate, she's a little thinner than the other cannonball gourds so that makes her a bit more delicate. Like a little flower. Penny was born here in Iowa to Amy, before she came to stay with us.


Penny is going to one of our nieces for Christmas (she put her bid in early and so how can I say no?)

Peppy

Peppy was named not only for her "peppy" personality, but also because of her traditional pink piggy color. My husband named her peppy after his favorite antacid. She's very sweet though, and would love to be a pink princess. She's love to go home with a little girl princess. Peppy was born here in Iowa to Dolores, before she came to stay with us.

Peppy was adopted by my friend Star (along with Rupert.)  She too will be going to protect a new babykins.  YAY!  Star is also my new most loyal customer :)

Clara

Clara is very curious, as you can see in her photo. It was difficult to get Clara's photo because she was pretty busy snooping around. She's a very pretty two tone blue color. She's quite a bit smaller than her brother Blu, but she's sure mighty. She needs a little time to grow into her ears though. She takes after Bob that way (Bob is her big brother from a previous litter.)

"Yes, Clara made the long trek without a problem. She mentioned she did not enjoy the cramped quarters of her shipping box and begged me to ask you to make some flying pigs. I explained to her that pigs do not have wings, but she is beyond reasoning with...evidently she overheard someone use the phrase "When pigs fly" and took it to heart.
Being a curious piggie, she has already been seen poking her snout into various corners of our house. I'm sure that she is just trying to find a place to settle in.

Jonny Apple Gourd Seed

Jonny Apple Gourd Seed is the biggest of all this brewd of pigs. He really likes mud, and so it's a good thing that he's brown. He stays cool in the hot Iowa summer by rolling and rolling and rolling. That's why he stands a bit crooked. He's a little dizzy. Jonny was born here in Iowa to Dolores, before he came to stay with us.

Peter

Named after Peter Pettigrew, this piggy bears NO resemblence except that he's littler than the other piggies. Peter went with Blu to be gifted to her other grandson. Peter is pretty quick on his feet, even though they're little. He'll get along great!

Blu

Blu met the fortunate fate of going home with grandma Debbie. Blu was sure sweet and mild mannered while here at home. It will do him good to remain so as he will be soon gifted to one of Debbie's grandsons, and I'm sure he'll get a workout!
